Marteena Chloe October 23, 2020 Resignation Letter
From dissatisfaction with school policies to required relocations, there may come a time when you are unwilling or unable to complete the term of your teaching contract. If this occurs in your teaching career, you will be in the position of having to write a resignation letter. The composition for a resignation letter can be incredibly difficult, even for the most adept writer, because it requires a great deal of tact and consideration.
The letter should sound more positive then it sounds, it should not be seen as the way out to avoid the termination. The announcement of the resignation is the first thing you should include in the letter; this is quick approach to give a clear intent of future course of action too. Having said that, the letter should always be written after due consideration and if there is still a chance of working in the same office and there is no good opportunity in view, just keep the idea of resigning in your mind not on the paper to be on the safe side.
After your resignation has been accepted you should make sure to inform your employer about the current status of the projects you are handling so that you can proceed accordingly. It is best to put down the tasks you have in pipeline in an email and send it to all concerned people. It is also a good idea not to accept any long term tasks as this might interfere with your relieving date. If your employer finds a replacement for your role in due time you must train them on the nitty-gritties of your job. In this way, both you and your employer can part ways with a sense of respect and amicability.
Leaving an employer is a stressful situation whether you have been employed for a few days or many years. Whether the experience has been positive or negative, when it comes time to leave you must do it professionally.
That is easier said than done, yet, it can have a great effect on the situations and the mood surrounding your departure. Regardless of your level in the organization, your colleagues, superiors and subordinates will definitely feel about your departure, and the feeling can be anything ranging from surprise to rejection. It is best to be sensitive to these feelings. You should not write anything to intensify or aggravate these feelings.
