A resignation letter is one of the most important letters that you can ever write. Yet, few people give a conscious thought about how to write them correctly. Even if you are planning to change jobs well in advance, you will dedicate a lot of time in writing a perfect resume, work very hard to prepare well for the interview, and yet put off writing the resignation letter to the last minute. Now, that is a big mistake. How often do you find people who will tell you that they will like to change the way that they had written their resignation letter? May be, even you feel the same way sometimes.

A good sample resignation letter would include a salutation to the specific person you will be given your resignation letter. It should also include the date the letter was written. Other details would include the date you will be leaving your position, and a brief explanation of your reasons for leaving. Try to keep it positive.
There are various reasons, which prompts an employee to resign from his job and they include, better job opportunity in another organization, working environment, moving out of the city or country, poor pay scale and family commitments. Informing verbally, about his service termination is not proper corporate tradition to inform the employer. These reasons make it necessary, to follow right corporate culture and, tender his written resignation, according to the company rules and regulations. He should also cite job quitting reasons in the letter.
The letter should sound more positive then it sounds, it should not be seen as the way out to avoid the termination. The announcement of the resignation is the first thing you should include in the letter; this is quick approach to give a clear intent of future course of action too. Having said that, the letter should always be written after due consideration and if there is still a chance of working in the same office and there is no good opportunity in view, just keep the idea of resigning in your mind not on the paper to be on the safe side.
Other people’s names. The resignation letter must have peaceful content on it. Even if a person is responsible for such decision on your end, it would be better not to indicate names there. It would already be a hassle on the part of the school if you are citing an individual or two who caused you to leave, and that would only bring harm to them. Though the school needs to know your reason, better do it in a subtle and decent way.
